GraspPrivacy Policy

The short version. We collect your email, your name, and which lessons you finished. We do not sell anything, we do not run advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. You can delete everything from inside the app at any time.

What we collect

What we do not collect
- Location, at any precision
- Contacts, photos, camera or microphone. The app never requests these permissions
- Advertising or device identifiers
- Any record of your activity in other apps or on the web
- Payment details, because there is nothing to pay for
Things you write stay on your phone
Some lessons ask you to type a prediction or a reflection. Those answers are held on your device only. They are never sent to our servers and we cannot read them.
Where it is stored
On Supabase, hosted in the EU West region in Ireland. Access is restricted by row level security, which means the database itself enforces that you can only ever read or write your own rows.
Who we share it with
Nobody. There are no advertising networks, no data brokers and no analytics companies with access to your account.
Two service providers process data on our behalf, under contract, solely to run the app: Supabase for the database and authentication, and Expo for app delivery and crash reporting. Neither may use your data for anything else.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it. If an account is inactive for two years we will email you before removing it.
Deleting everything
Open the app, go to You → Settings → Account, and choose Delete account. It removes your profile, your progress, your review cards and your sign-in record immediately and permanently. We keep no copy and cannot restore it.
If you cannot reach the app, email privacy@ai4africaorg.com and we will do it within 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, the Kenya Data Protection Act, the South African POPIA, the EU GDPR or similar law, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Write to privacy@ai4africaorg.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Grasp is written for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect anything from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, tell you in the app before it takes effect.
